Dreamtime Stories – The Rainbow Serpent

strong>In our Humanities lessons, we are learning about Aboriginal / Indigenous Studies. A few weeks ago, we learnt about Dreamtime Stories.

We watched a video of someone reading ‘The Rainbow Serpent’ to us.  Click here to watch the video.

After the video, we made our own Rainbow Serpents using cardboard, sticky tape and wool. It was a lot of fun and our display looks great!
What do you think?

Did you like my Elmo puppet? It’s really fun to play around with and change it’s facial expressions and make it evil…
    ~Noah

  6. I just love it Noah! Did you make it yourself? What made you get into puppeteering?
    Mrs McKay 🙂

  7. We’ll I bought it from Big W and then I cut a hole in it and added the arm rods…
Actually I’m not sure what got me puppeteering it’s just my love of the Muppets and how long I’ve been watching them I guess. I was interested to know how they did what they did so I decided I’d start doing it! I’m getting a Kermit in the holidays and currently making Rowlf the Dog.

  8. How clever of you!
You certainly are a natural with your puppeteering and acting skills!
Awesome, can’t wait to see Kermit in action as well!
I’ll give the disk back to Lexi tomorrow!
    Hope you’re enjoying your weekend!
